Q: How do I change or clean an aerator on a lavatory or bar faucet?

Identifying Aerator Type

Recessed Aerators

  1. Use the aerator wrench provided with the faucet to untighten the aerator by rotating counterclockwise. If you do not have the wrench, please email support@premierfaucet.com.
  2. Rinse the aerator to remove any debris.
  3. Reinstall aerator and tighten.

External Aerators

  1. Untighten the aerator counter-clockwise by hand. If unable to loosen by hand, use a pair of pliers with protected jaws to grip the aerator.
  2. Rinse the aerator to remove any debris.
  3. Reinstall aerator and tighten.
