  • The water coming out of my single-handle kitchen faucet less sprayer is reduced, how do I fix it?
    1. Clean or replace aerator (see FAQ 29). If problem still exists, move to Step 2.
    2. Ensure the water supply to the faucet is turned off.

    Whistling

    1. Remove the aerator and see if whistling stops (see FAQ 29). If noise stops, clean the aerator. If the noise still exists, move to Step 2.

    2. Replace the spout O-rings.

    1. Ensure the connection(s) are secure. If problem still exists, move to Step 2.
    2. Ensure the water supply to the faucet is turned off.
    3. Replace the Snap-Connect block and/or O-rings as applicable (see FAQ 6).

    Screw Connection

    1. Ensure the connection(s) are secure. If problem still exists, move to Step 2.
    2. Ensure the water supply to the faucet is turned off.
    3. Replace the hose and O-rings.

  • How do I replace a spray diverter on a single-handle kitchen faucet with side sprayer?

    Vertical Mounted Spray Diverter

    1. Ensure the water supply to the faucet is turned off.
    2. Remove the spout nut, rotating counter-clockwise.
    3. Remove the spout by lifting up on the spout.
    4. Locate the diverter within the valve cavity.
    5. Remove the diverter with a flat head screw driver rotating counter-clockwise.
    6. Replace with a new diverter.
    7. Reinstall the spout by sliding it back onto the spout tower.
    8. Reinstall the spout nut.

    Horizontal Mounted Spray Diverter

    1. Ensure the water supply to the faucet is turned off. Step 2.
    2. Remove the handle (see FAQ 34).
    3. Remove the spout by lifting up.
    4. Remove the cartridge (see FAQ 32).
    5. Locate the diverter; if clip exits remove with needle nose pliers.
    6. Extract the diverter with pliers.
    7. Replace with a new diverter; reinstall clip if applicable.
    8. Reinstall the cartridge.
    9. Reinstall the spout by sliding it back onto the spout tower.
    10. Reinstall the handle.

  • How do I replace a handle?

    Phillips Head Screw Type 1

    1. Remove the index button or screw cover.
    2. Remove the screw with a Phillips head screwdriver, rotating counter-clockwise.
    3. Lift off the handle.
    4. Replace with a new handle.
    5. Reinstall the screw.
    6. Reinstall the index button or screw cover.

    Set Screw Type 2

    1. Remove the index button.
    2. Remove the set screw, rotating counter-clockwise, using the appropriate Allen wrench.
    3. Lift off the handle.
    4. Replace with a new handle.
    5. Reinstall the set screw.
    6. Reinstall the index button.

    Set Screw Type 3

    1. Remove the lever, rotating counter-clockwise.
    2. Remove the set screw, rotating counter-clockwise, using the appropriate Allen wrench.
    3. Lift off the handle.
    4. Replace with a new handle.
    5. Reinstall the set screw.
    6. Reinstall the lever.

  • How do I replace a cartridge on a single-handle faucet?

    Ceramic Cartridge

    1. Ensure the water supply to the faucet is turned off.
    2. Remove the handle (see FAQ 34).
    3. Remove the decorative cap by hand-loosening, rotating counter-clockwise.
    4. Remove the bonnet nut using an adjustable wrench, rotating counter-clockwise.
    5. Remove and replace the cartridge ensuring the pins are aligned with the holes in the valve body.
    6. Reinstall the bonnet nut and hand-tighten. When snug, tighten an extra half-turn.
    7. Check for leaks by turning on the faucet. If leaking, tighten the bonnet nut until the leaking stops.
    8. Reinstall the decorative cap.
    9. Reinstall the handle.

    Washerless Cartridge

    1. Ensure the water supply to the faucet is turned off.
    2. Remove the handle (see FAQ 34).
    3. Remove the bonnet nut using pliers with protected jaws, rotating counter-clockwise.
    4. Lift the ball and packing out.
    5. Remove the seat washers and springs.
    6. Replace with new seat washers and springs ensuring the cone-shaped spring has the small end facing up.
    7. Reinstall the ball and the packing ensuring the tabs are aligned with the slots in the valve body.
    8. Reinstall the bonnet nut.
    9. Reinstall the handle.
